Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence and his wife, Marissa, are expanding their family.
On Tuesday, the couple announced they’re adding another four-legged friend to their family, a pup named Mr. Jones, who joins their other pooch Indi.
In a series of Instagram Stories shared on Marissa’s page, the puppy is seen playing with Lawrence’s signature blond locks while getting acquainted with its new surroundings.
One photo is captioned, “Surprise.”
Lawrence, the Jaguars’ first-overall pick in last year’s draft, has been enjoying his first NFL offseason with Marissa, which included a romantic winter getaway in January.
Although the 22-year-old quarterback is readying for his sophomore season in the league, this year will be his first with coach Doug Pederson, who was named the Jaguars’ head coach in February.
Pederson, the former Super Bowl-winning coach of the Eagles, replaced Urban Meyer, who was fired in December following a troublesome tenure.
Meyer was axed midway through the 2021 season and had been the subject of damning reports leading up to his termination. He was accused of belittling his coaches and kicking a former player during an August practice.
With the Pederson era beginning in Jacksonville, Lawrence — and Marissa — have made it abundantly clear they have the coach’s back.
Once Pederson’s hiring became official in February, the couple celebrated the news on social media.
The Lawrences have been married since April 2021, tying the knot just weeks before the NFL Draft.
